WATCH: Drone shot of the Bohol Panglao Airport, ang the country`s first eco-airport slated to open this November.
The airport, touted to be the “Green Gateway to the World” boasts environment-friendly features such as solar panels on the roof of the Passenger Terminal Building expected to provide one-third ofthe airport`s energy requirement.
In line witg DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade`s directives, the construction and launch of the Bohol Panglao Airport was launched ahead of the original 2021 schedule.
When it begins operations, the airport can accommodate 2 million passengers a year, double that if the current Tagbilaran airport.
